I am very sorry  for such a long delay in getting back to you--- 2years , not good

My Great Grand Father was Dominick Gavin born About 1844 on Inishbee Island and his Father was also Dominick(1833-1883) Married Elisabeth McCann My Great Grandfather Dominick died May 27, 1874 in Newport Mayo, he was married to Mary Fallon and had a taylor shop in Newport

In 1867 Dominick and Mary went to New York were my grandfather Thomas Gavin was born. The family returned to Ireland and settled in Newport were they had three more sons John, Andrew and Dominick, I have a document showing the family but no Thomas is listed Why would they move back to Ireland and why is Thomas not listed ?

I know Dominick my Great Grandfather died young and left Mary with three or four very young children, I can not find any information on what happened to her
