I am wondering if anyone can assist me in finding my great grandfather Patrick Connolly. He was born approximately 1837-1839 to Thomas c Connolly and Julia Heffren. He had an older brother Michael. Both Patrick and Michael emigrated around 1847-1850 thru Canada to US. Patrick would be RC Catholic. I appreciate any assistance you can provide as I am at a dead end!!

I searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland from 1833-1843 in Co. Galway and did not locate any Connolly baptismal records with a father Thomas and mother Julia. Many of the RC parishes in Co. Galway particularly in the west of the county have records that start in 1840 or later.

I don't really know how he emigrated. I just know that he came from Galway and ended up in Rochester, NY!!
