I am looking for information on John Quirk born 1801, likely in Lattin Parish County Tipperary. . My information has his parents as David Quirk and Allison Powers. He emigrated to Quebec Canada prior to 1827. He married Julia Duffy (also from Ireland but have little information on her, except father may ahve been Bernard?) in Canada.

    Thank you for your query . . . which . . .when you stretch back to early 1800's . . is very diffacult . . . records are very scarce

    back that far  . . so . . . what I have found is only speculation . . . as to . . its usefulness . . but . . .

    I used a search engine . . Roots . . (paid) . . . for Quirk's .. . born back then . . . for Tipperary

        only three Quirk's  appear from that search . . .                (see below)

    When I search for the surname ....Duffy . . . only TWO appear . . . (search 1828-1848)  in ALL Ireland

    Searched Tax rolls for 1828  and 1846 . . no real help . . .
