My 2nd great grandma was Mary Ruane, born September 1836, baptized 13 SEP 1836, Kilcolman RC Parish, parent's Thaddeus Ruane and Mary Marrey. Mary Ruane married Michael Coleman, 29 May 1854 at Kilcolman RC Parish. From the note I received from the church in Claremorris she was an only child of Thaddeus and Mary. Mary and Michael lived in Dalteen, Ballyhowly, Mayo.

My great grandfather was William Ruane (1845-1925) married to Mary Conway (1854-1931). Their son, my grandfather, was William P. Ruane (1885-1964) married to my grandmother, Catherine Rafferty (1881-1931). After my grandmother's death, he married Mary Agnes Decker (1896-1958). My great grandparents and my grandfather were from Logboy, Claremorris. My grandmother was from Ireland, though I don't know exactly where. My grandparents emmigrated to the U.S. and lived in Massachusetts. Mary Decker was from the U.S.

I am looking for a book called "STRUGGLE AND STRIFE ON A MAYO ESTATE 1833-1903: THE NOLANS OF LOGBOY AND THEIR TENANTS" by Michael Kelly. i know my grandfather, William P. Ruane (1885-1964) lived in Logboy until he immigrated to the U.S. His father, William Ruane (1845-1925) and mother, Mary Conway (1854-1931) probably also lived there. I still have cousins in Logboy. I think this book may be out-of-print.
