Hi, I am searching for details of Sarah Bridget KENNEDY who listed herself on her Australian wedding certificate as being from Kilmore, Tipperary. She was born in 1850 or 1851. Her parents are listed as Patrick KENNEDY, a farmer and Kate Cochrane. I can find no details on these people at all. I can't even find when she left Ireland and if she travelled alone or with any siblings. Any suggestions, advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

    Thankyou for your speedy response. I am Melissa Gemmell that you mentioned in your response! I am in 2 minds whether Kate's surname is Cochrane or Corcoran. The wedding certificate clearly says Cochrane but I could find no mention of it anywhere else and I did find the Kennedy/Corcoran link. Am I clutching at straws? Or does that seem viable? Just wondering if Sarah could read and write and somebody has taken the more common spelling of Cochrane and entered it here in Australia. 

    I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the map and distances.
