My 2nd great-grandmother was Julia McNally. She was born around 1835. In the early 1850s she emigrated to New York. She either married Peter Maley/Mally/O'Malley in New York of just before leaving Ireland--not sure which. Through DNA testing matches, I am fairly confident she came from Cloonkeen Townland, Kilmeena Parish, County Mayo. I have some indications that her mother's given name was Bridget; but again not too certain. She and Peter settled in and around Scranton, PA; but in 1880 moved to Mason County, Illinois, where they spent the remainder of their lives. I do note from Griffith's valuation that there are many McNallys and Maleys (and other variant spellings) in that area; but I can't tie Julia or Peter to any specific family. Any help would be appreciated. Del Ritchhart (dritchh37@gmail.com).

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
The records for Kilmeena RC parish start closer to 1860 so no baptismal record for Julia would exist. I also checked the subscriptuon site Roots Ireland for a marriage record but no record was found.
