Information on Michael Carlin

We are looking for information on Michael Carlin, his parents, his siblings, his spouse’s siblings and
parents. Michael was born in County Clare in 1828, married Sabina Grady prior to 1851, birthed his
son, John Henry (Henery) Carlin, in Kinvara in 1851, and arrived in New York prior to 1852 when his
second child was born. John Henry’s was left behind, as naturalization papers state he was born in
Kinvara and left from Kinvara, arriving in New York on 1 AUG 1866. Michael identified his parents as
Carolan on the records for his second marriage.
His first wife, Sabina Grady Carlin, is also sometimes identified as Margaret or Sybil, and her last name
is either Grady or O’Grady.
