John Moran - Mary Golden left (parish currently unknown to me) county Mayo.

Arrived Canada about 1842.

Lived and died in the village of Kitley, (re-named Toledo ), Bastard Township, Leeds, Ontario.

Farming on nearby concessions were these Roman Catholic men:

James, whom I have strong reason to believe that he was a brother to my direct, John Moran. (After Honora died, James married Mary McDonald)

Patrick, whom I think was a brother.  Patrick married Sarah Granahan

Many of the Mayo RC parishes do not have records back to 1842 and earlier. I did search the subscription site Roots Ireland and the only marriage record I could find was in 1824 in Swinford but the groom's name was Malaky Moran. Were John and Mary a young couple when they left (which would eliminate the 1824 marriage)? Did they have any children in Ireland?
