Hi
I am trying to track down the wedding certificate (or any thing with info) for John McHale to Margret King. They were living in Foxford Town in 1901 and 1911, with my great grandfather Michael with them in the first. I have Michael and his sister Bridget’s birth and baptism records, but can’t find the 3rd child shown in 1911.
My grandad was born in Foxford, but grew up in Leeds England when he was orphaned along with his sister and elder half sister.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
From the 1911 census, it would appear that the marriage was in 1866-1867 which is after civil registration of RC marriages commenced (1864) yet I was unable to find the civil marriage record anywhere in Ireland on the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie Maybe they were married in England. If they were married in Foxford, no church records would exist because parish marriage records start in 1870. Baptismal records start in 1871 so the other child may have been born somewhere in the late 1860s. Another possibility is that the first child may have been born in England.
Margaret died in 1918 and John in 1924 and in both cases, son Michael was the informant.
