  •  Hi Miriam thanks for your reply. John Kennedy 1861's mother was called Rachel Lownsbrough, born in Yorkshire. The places i've found where Salford, Collyhurst areas of Manchester John Kennedy 1861 as lived in Thornton street, Manchester St.George from birth in the 1861 census and in the 1871 census. His Father John Kennedy 1822 lived with his wife Rachel in the 1851 census and i think first child Sarah Ann and they lived at 127, Todd street, Manchester, then im presuming they moved to Thornton street. I think there denomination was church of England John Kennedy 1822 was married in Manchester cathedral.

John Kennedy 1861 Siblings wear; Sarah Ann B.1849, Rosanna B. 1852. Elizabeth B.1855. Rachel B.1857. John Joseph B.1867. John 1861 married Amelia Platts born Hoyland, Yorkshire they married in Doncaster in 1890 and had four children May, Albert, Eva and Percy. I got the information that Joseph was a Dyer on John Kennedy and Rachel Lownsbrough's marriage banns also John lived in Collyhurst at the time of marriage. I've just found on the 1841 census Joseph Kennedy  a dyer with wife Julia both aged 45 both born in Ireland and john 1822 is on age 20 Born Ireland and a dyer, so i think they are same family  also then Hugh Kennedy age 15 born in Manchester, then another John Kennedy age 14 born in Manchester and Elizabeth age 7 born Manchester. and Hugh Kennedy age 50 and Margaret Kennedy age 50 both born in Ireland so may be Joseph Kennedy and Hugh Kennedy are brothers and at the time of this census they lived in Salford Collier Court. Do you think this will help, thankyou San.
