Dear Miriam -- thank you for this assistance - it is much appreciated. Do you have any information to add about the life of Agnes - the actual church in which she would have been baptised, married etc.?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes

I might add that one of the biggest civil engineering contractors in Ireland and the UK are Wills brothers, well known church of Ireland family from foxford, just outside ballina co.mayo.

Thank you, Peter - there is a good chance, then, that they are related to Agnes's second husband, Thomas Wills, and therefore the son of that marriage who came out with Agnes and George Allen to Australia! The descendants of Thomas Wills Jnr (whose family surname morphed into Wills-Allen) become very prominent pastoralists and businessmen in New South Wales.
I am interested to know your profession, Peter - I am not familiar with the term 'site agent'. Is it perhaps what we refer to as a 'real estate agent'??
Best wishes and I am going onto the willsbros site now to have a look!

Hi Beverly
I'm a civil engineer, in Ireland and the UK the term site agent is a descriptions for a civil engineer that acts as foreman also.Peter D, IrelandXO Volunteer ☘

Dear Miriam --- I made contact with the Anglican Church site address that you sent me with very good results. I have now been in contact with Stephen McWhirter of Killala and I will be meeting up with Stephen and his wife (both are Anglican clerics) when I am there. As well, he has provided me with a contact at the Tubbercurry church and I hope to have contact there soon also.
Thank you again most sincerely for your kindness, Miriam - I appreciate the efforts that you went to on my behalf.
My time in Ireland will now be so much more meaningful.
My warm good wishes
