Quinn & MacNamara

Seeking more information on my 4th great-grandparents, Edward Quinn & Catherine MacNamara from Balyna.  I have located 4 baptismal records for their children in Johnstown parish in Kildare and Leighlin diocese: 

James 21 Nov 1831

Margaret 3 Aug 1834

Mary 26 Feb 1837

Michael 9 Nov 1840--I descend from this son who married Elizabeth Anderson from Glasgow, Scotland.  They are buried together in Des Moines, Iowa, USA where I was born and still live.

My family records are very jumbled for this branch and there seems to be a lot of confusion over whether the Quinns and MacNamaras were Irish or Scottish.  This may be in part to Michael Quinn marrying Elizabeth Anderson from Scotland, but trying to untangle what I can regarding the Quinns and MacNamaras.  Any help you can provide is truly appreciated!
