Hello
I am looking for any descendents of Thomas Joseph Burke and Johanna Moran of Nutgrove, Galway. Or any relations of the Burke, Costello, Moran or Tuohy family from these areas.
Thanks, Samantha

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
Nutgrove/Feebrack townland is in Tynagh civil parish and the RC parish would be Tynagh. When I searched for a marriage record for this couple, I located an 1855 marriage record at Carrabane RC church which is a good distance from Tynagh. When I search for baptismal records for children of this couple, they were in Carrabane parish not Tynagh. When I searched in Tynagh, I did not find any records.
For other readers of this message when did your Thomas Burke and Johanna Moran marry and what were the names of their children. Thanks!

Hi Roger
I have been unable to find a marriage for them. However, Lawrence was living with his sister in the 1901 census then married by the 1911, so somewhere between these dates. The first child I have found born to them was my direct ancestor Thomas Joseph Burke born 1904. They had Bridget, Margaret, Anne Maria, James, Lawrence, Gertrude Matilda and Agnes.
Any help greatly appreciated. This is all recent information I have found out about my biological grandfather's family.
Kind regards, Samantha

Samantha:
I was unable to locate a church or civil marriage record for Lawrence Burke and Margaret Costello. I did find the 1948 death record for Lawrence with son Thomas as the informant. Last record on the page.

I did not find a death record for Margaret.

Thanks very much Roger. Do you know what I would need to search for to see pictures of the area? Nothing comes up for Nutgrove or Feebrack.

Do you have access to Google Earth? The area looks very rural. Tynagh village is not too fatr away.

Hi there
I noticed somewhere on here that there was a post about a Burke family still living in Nutgrove. Does anyone know if this is still the case?
Thanks
