I have written several times over the years asking for help under the name " the Maloney's of Galway" and several of you have tried to help me break through my 22 year old brick wall. I appreciate the help you have given me over the years, but I am still not able to find the townland my Maloney's and Murray's lived in. Now I am desperate because my husband and I are going to the wedding of my husband's cousin in Salthill in April 6th, 2019 and we have decided to stay after in County Galway for 3 weeks searching my family. Please refer to my previous postings under the title "The Maloney's of Galway" to see the only information I have on my great, great grandparents, Denis and Margaret Murray Maloney, and their son Peter Maloney, my great grandfather.
Since the last time I was in touch with you I have joined Ancestry and done my DNA with no results. I have researched the Tithe Applotment Books, Griffiths Valuation, John Grenham's website,and Find MY Past. Several years ago when the National Library of Ireland put the baptisms, marriages and deaths on line, I reseached all the parishes in County Galway, looking for my grandfather's baptism record with the only date I have for any of these people, which is July 1, 1845 (birth) for Peter Maloney my great, grandfather. I have also been working on the different spellings for Maloney and still no luck finding a townland or the births, marriage and deaths for Denis and Margaret Murray Maloney. What suggestings do you have for using my time wisely while in Ireland? Many thanks for any help you can give me. Jane Maloney Heffernan

Hi Jane
Below is a link to a Tithe listing for Killora Craughwell in 1827. Listed at Number 7 is Andrew Murry (Murray), Listed at Number 8 is Peter Mullowney (Maloney / Moloney / Mullony), Listed at Number 15 is Denis Mullowney, all Tenant farmers. Possibility that Andrew and Peter were Father / Father in Law of Denis.

Hi Gerad, Thank you for responding to my post. I have seen your recommendation in the past, but I am relooking at this possibility again. I am having trouble making the connection between your findings and my great grandparents Denis Maloney/ Mullowney and Margaret Murray who had 2 children that I know of named Peter and Mary. Peter was my grandfather. He and his wife, Sarah Gleason/Gleeson had 10 children in Boston, Massachusetts. Not sure this means much but they had 8 sons and 2 daughters, and none of the sons were named Andrew. Their names were Denis, Joseph, Peter, Thomas, Richard, Michael, William Gregory, and Stephen Lawrence. Please refer to "The Maloney's of Galway" for further info. As you have done a DNA test it should be possible to find some links to the place of your ancestry
Have you uploaded your raw DNA data to the free site gedmatch.com?
There is a Galway DNA genealogy group on Facebook that I suggest you join and once joined enter your info and DNA gedmatch info
With your search of the paper records exhausted this is possibly the best route
You say that you have had 'no results' from the DNA test - Ancestry's database is 13 million + strong so that is surprising
