At long last I’m coming to Co Mayo (Gowel) to find descendants of my Great, Great Grandparents- Patrick and Mary(Kilbride) Finn. Their daughter (my Great Grandmother) was Bridget Finn(1854-baptized at St James Church, Carracastle), who emigrated to the US (Brooklyn, NY) sometime around the 1870’s. I arrive in a few weeks, and would be so happy to meet up with family in/near Gowel. My cousin was ther in 1992 and met John and Marie Finn- and 2 children- David and Aileen. If anyone can help with my finding where they might live, So I could notify them of my coming, I’d be so appreciative! Thank you in advance!
Maria

Dear Maria: Thank you for your message to the IReland Reaching Out message board and welcome to the site.
You might connect with the Carracastle & Rooskey parish page as this is updated weekly and someone there may be able to assist you with finding the cousins.
