Looking for information on my 3x Great Grandparents, William Churchill B. Abt 1811 and Mary nee O'Hara B. Abt 1812.
I know they were in Liverpool by 1837, as that's where their son was born. I know from the 1841 census in Liverpool that they are both listed as coming from Mayo, Ireland, but not sure if this refers to the town or county. They were Catholic.
In the 1851 census they are sharing accommodation with the Cannon family, listed as cousins. I've been unable to trace the Cannons later.
Trying to trace any other Churchill ancestors or their descendants. Is anyone able to help please? Thank you

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
It is very difficult to find RC records in Mayo back to 1810. I did search the subscription site Roots Ireland and did not find a William Churchill baptismal record until the 1840s. The earliest Mary O'Hara record was in 1822.
You may want to add William and Mary's story to our XO Chronicles site and possibly someone will see a connection. https://www.irelandxo.com/ireland-xo/history-and-genealogy/ancestor-dat…
Have you considered DNA testing?

Thank you Roger, I appreciate your efforts. I will add them to the chronicles, it is certainly wirth a try :)
I am saving up to do DNA with Ancestry at the moment, as I feel it is likely to be the only way to make progress with the Churchill branch of the family.
Many, many thanks for your help :)

Hi Emma!
Ancestry has sales off and on. In fact they just had a sale over the 4th of July. Good luck with your research.
