Eliza Heffernan Burke (Bourke), lived in Poulmucka

I couldn't find the marriage record on www.rootsireland.ie/ which might have had her father's name

The family lived in Knocknaquill townland in Knockgraffon civil parish not far from Poulmucka. Below are the 1901 and 1911 census records for the family. John died in 1909 and Eliza died in March 1911 right before the 1911 census was taken. Their son John and his family are shown in the link below for 1911. The civil death records are below. The RC parish would be New Inn and I located a potential baptismal record in 1836 for Eliza. See below. I found the reocrd on the subscription site FindMyPast.ie

I located six baptismal records on FindMyPast.ie  The earliest I located was in May 1864 so the marriage occurred 1863 or earlier. Was not able to find the marriage record.

Thank you so much!  Of course this inspires more questions!

I'm wondering if Eliza (and John) Heffernan had a sibling Michael.  I found a Michael died and buried in 1898 in the same place as John in upstate NY.  Hadn't paid attention to the date...thought this was the Michael in the next generation (John's son).  Col- could you see if there's a Michael?

Also, I found a RC Parish Marriage on findmypast:  Eliza Heffernan, address Cloran, Marriage Date 18 Aug 1861, Parish Drangan, Alternative parish names Cloneen, Drangan and Cloneen, Diocese Cashel and Emly, Spouse's first name John, Spouse's last name Burke, Spouse's address Cloran, County Tipperary. 

Roger - this date seems to work given the ages of the children -   (son Michael born 1864)

The parish names are so confusing to me.  Can you tell me where this would be in relation to Knocknaquill?  Thoughts on whether this might be them?  Does anyone have access to the actual record (I only have the transcription).

The marriage record you located certainly fits. I had looked at that record yesterday and somehow missed the connection. If you hit the blue link below, it will take you to the actual parish register. Drangan RC parish is a good distance to the east of Knockgraffon. Today, it would be a 40 minute drive by car and in the 19th century a much greater distance. I would like to say it is the correct record but I have some doubts.
