hiya Ireland xo,it seems ive been following the wrong Thomas Quinn! I have info that my T.Quinn family are from Ballyglunin or possibly Monivea Galway he was born circa 1897,his father's name was Patrick and he possibly had a sister Rose he was known to have been working in N.E England in the early 1930's when he met and married my Grandmother Edith Bradley.my mother Ivy Quinn was born in 1932.it seems a John Finn married a Celia Quinn in co,Galway and emigrated to USA,both families were I believe from the Ballyglunin area of Galway.would be grateful for any help or info thanks.

I can see about four possibilities in the 1901 census for Galway. Do you happen to know Thomas' mothers name/surname? There was no Rose Quinn who was a child in the 1901 census in Co. Galway. Thanks!

What info do you have to link Thomas Quinn to Ballyglunin?
Ballyglunin Thomas was born in 1892 which is earlier and believe Celia Quinn and her sister married in America.

Hi Roger and Gerard thank you for the swift replies, i have no info of Thomas's mothers name,and Rose was mentioned when Thomas split up with my grandmother and wanted to take my mother back to Ireland he said his sister Rose would look after her so she would probably have been born after 1901.It seems that my grandfather Thomas Quinn was already married (probably in Ireland before he wed my Grandmother) we presumed dob of Thomas to be circa 1897 because of his age on wedding certificate,but it could be another fabrication?The Ballyglunin connection comes from a descendant of Celia Quinn who lives in USA she says that Celia married a John Finn also from Ballyglunin area?we have been confirmed as relatives through DNA testing but am really struggling to find any info on my Grandfather Thomas Quinn.
