My grandmother Catherine Lynagh, sometimes spelled Lyna, was born in the USA. Her Father Bernard Lynagh was born in Gallow, Summerhill, County Meath in 1844. Searching Parish records it appears Bernard had a brother John, born 1839, and a sister Jane, born 1842. All baptised in Gallow. Records indicate that Bernard's father was a Peter Lynagh and his mother was Mary Sheridan. Looking for any info on the family in Gallow- were there more children? Did Peter and Mary die there and if so when and where buried? Records of the marriage of Peter and Mary? Did John or Jane immigrate to the USA? When and where?Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I checked Roots Ireland and did not see any additional baptismal records and did not find the marriage record. Normally, the marriage occurred in the bride's parish. Summerhill has records back to 1812 so if married in that parish, the record would be on Roots. The RC parish just to the west, Rathcore and Rathmolyon does not have records until 1878. If they were married in that parish, arecord would not exist.
The 1853 Griffiths Valuation for Co. Meath does not show a Peter Lynagh so either he died after 1844 or the enire family emigrated to the States. The 1901 census only had 15 people with the surname Lynagh in Co. Meath and no Johns around age 60.
