Welcome back to Ireland Reaching Out!
I will refer your message to our parish liaison for Woodford. She will likely ask if y=Michael Mullin and family emigrated on did his descendants stay in the area?

Thank you, Nora. Margaret Mahon would be my great- grandmother. My grandfather was Patrick John Mullen who first married Jennie Lodge . They had I think four children. His second wife ( my grandmother) was Elizabeth McCusker from Iowa. My grandfather changed the spelling of his last name to Mullin. Patrick and Elizabeth had seven children. He died in Albion, Nebraska in 1915

Hi Lassie,
It looks like the majority of Mullen/Mullin are in a townland Knockauncarragh right near the Main Town of Woodford. There are also a in townlands Cloonmoylan/Clonmoylan, Abbey and Alleendarra, East which are all within 5-10 miles from each other. Below is a link to national archives to see full list. Search surname=Mullen or Mullin, "County"=Galway and "DED"=Woodford or Abbey for the full list. I use 1901 as the year as it catches a wider net of older family memebers,
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie
You can use this map sitelink to locate Woodford and all the town names that surround it. Google map etc don't show this level of detail
http://map.geohive.ie/mapviewer.html
The following link is used to search Birth, Marriage and Death records. Keep in mind that "Portumna" Town is used when searching these record as it was the cental location for all these records for the 1800 and early 1900's. At some point it stopped so you would need to search "Loughrea" for any records post 1920's ish up until maybe 1940-50's.

Lastly, I have Mullen/Mullins in my herritage my Great Great Grandmother on my Fathers side was an Elizabeth Mullin born in early 1800's supposedly from Clonmoylan area who married Michael Murphy. Havent had enough time to research details but is possible we are related too.
To help your research and even maybe find a connection to my family. I can email you a PDF Summary of Elizabeth decendants. You can reach out to me at ciaran.oshaughnessy@gmail.com if you want and I can email it to you directly.
Best of Luck
