I would like to know if it might be possible to visit Fiddaun castle near Gort.
We will be travelling to Ireland from Australia with my family at the end of June so that we can show our sons their Irish heritage.
My ancestors emigrated from the Gort region to Australia around 1852.
We will be visiting Galway and Gort and would like visit Fiddaun while we are there. I understand that Fiddaun stands on private land and I wanted to find out if the owners might be willing to allow us to visit the site.
I would be grateful for any advice.
