Hi Folks

I'm working on my family tree and I'm looking for any information on my G'Granparents Mary Foley and William Doherty. William was from Coolacussane and Mary was from Oughterleague, Knockavilla. They married on the 12/2/1872 the witness's at the wedding were Nicholas Prout and Mary Ryan and the Priest was Rev.Cahill ! Willaim's Dad was John and Mary's Dad was Michael and was a herdsman. The Doherty family are in the 1901 cencus as House 6, Coolacussane, Kilpatrick.

Thanks is advance for any information.

Regards

Gerry Doherty

    Hello again!

Coolacussane is in Kilpatrick civil parish  and the RC parish is Knockavilla which preumably was also the parish for Mary Foley. Records for the RC parish start in 1834  http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0273

The RC records for Knockavilla are not on Roots Ireland but they are on Find My Past. I did find a potential baptismal record for William Doherty (father John). I could not find a Mary Foley baptismal record in Knockavilla so possibly she was baptized in a different church.
