I am trying to trae information regarding my Great Grandfather Patrick Kelly, died aged 53 of Brights Disease 1910, who was a railguard but I am not sure if he worked for Finn Valley or Donegal Railways and lived at Woodview Terrace Stranorlar. I have found endless records but cannot find his birth record or where he was actually born. He was registered in Strnaorlar at the time of his marriage to Mary Anne McGoldrick. They had 6 daughters and 2 sons. One of which was my grandfather John James Kelly, who was known as Phaidji locally. Any information as to how I can track down his birth place would be appreciated. There are numerous books concerning the County Donegal Railways and these can be a great source of railway information, the Donegal Railway Heritage Centre has many of these books for sale and it helps their cause.
