Hoping for some assistance to locate the marriage and family of William Jackson as follows.
William Jackson was a son of Robert Jackson and Eliza Benn. William died intestate 31 Jan 1884. The administration of his estate Letters of Administration of the personal estate of William Jackson notes "...late of The Valley Roscrea County Tipperary Dyer who died 31 January 1884 at same place were granted at Limerick to Phoebe Jackson of the same place the Widow."
William was born abt 1837 Roscrea, Tipperary.
His father Robert Jackson left a Will and the Index noted "The Will of Robert Jackson late of the Valley Roscrea County Tipperary Miller and Dyer deceased who died 9 February 1874 at Roscrea was proved at the Principal Registry by the oath of William Jackson of the Valley Roscrea aforesaid Miller the son and one of the Executors." William's mother Eliza Benn died 06 Jul 1891. I do not know who were Eliza's parents nor a date and location of marriage.
William's siblings were:
1] Elizabeth Anne Jackson [b abt 1845] married 1878 St Cronins to Richard Stanley [abt 1850 - 1921] and had issue at least one child Robert Fredrick Stanley [abt 1885 - 1952]. Robert married Letitia Moynan at Roscrea 1923 and had issue of at least 2 children Richard Frederick & Robert John.
2] Sara Jane Jackson [abt 1848 - 1864]
3] Phoebe Letitia Jackson [1852 - 1927] who married Robert Fraser Somers in 1880 in Roscrea. Phoebe and Robert immigrated to Australia in 1885 on board the Cuzco.Roberts parents were Mortimer Brownrigg Somers & Eliza Fraser. Robert was born Donaghmore, Queen County, Laois. I have not located a birth record for him but the family bibles states this was where he was born on 21 Dec 1848. A record I located for 1887 noted that Mortimer was a Hotel Keeper but I can find no other record for him nor for his ancestry.
I know there are a lot of unknowns andmy hope is that I can solve this brick wall and perhaps contact some Irish descendants.
Regards,
Marie

Marie, I'm somewhat late coming to this converstion. I have but one piece of information to add and that is that your ancestor owned a tuck mill - Source for the following: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fulling Fulling, also known as tucking or walking (spelled waulking in Scotland), was a step in woollen clothmaking which involves the cleansing of cloth (particularly wool) to eliminate oils, dirt, and other impurities, and to make it thicker. The worker who does the job is a fuller, tucker, or walker,[1] all of which have become common surnames. The Welsh word for a fulling mill is pandy,[2] which appears in many place-names, for example Tonypandy ("fulling mill lea").
The local river The Moneen flows through Roscrea at The Valley and the Mill was nearby. It was demolished unfortunately sometime around the time the building of the local Catholic Church, I believe. The appendage Miller/Dyer most probably applies to his ownership and role in the business.

Hello Marie .. just came across this .. is this thread/topic still active ?
Jacksons are on my great-great grandfather's wife' side (Lizzie Anne JACKSON .. married Richard STANLEY).
Really (shamefully) too busy to seriously get into the family history .. but if there is a link, it might spur me on.
My dad, Eric STANLEY, (the youngest of the 5 brothers), died 3 years ago; his dad was Robert Frederick Stanley; son of the Richard Stanley that was married to Lizzie Jackson.
