I am looking for any information about Edward Tierney (b. 1830 Tipperary, Ireland), married Catherine (Kate) Fogerty (b. ?1833), married 19Feb1849, parrish Bourney, by Rev. Andrew Sca?nlore. Witnesses were Tim Fogarty (Catherine's father) and Martin Tracy. Both later immigrated to the US. Thank you for your help, Lost Family.

Hi, Welcome to the parish of Bourney/Bournea
I have no info yet but hope to help you as soon as possible. We hold a meeting the first Tue of each month and we will discuss your post then. In the meantime I will do some searches to see what I can find. We have Tierney and Fogarty families in the parish so they could be related. Can I ask what is your relatioship with Edward Tierney? If you have any other info that would help please let me know.
Thaks for your post

Hi Tim,
Edward Tierney was my Great Great Grandfather, Catherine Fogarty was my Great Great Grandmother. Edward fought in the Civil War for Wisconsin Union soldiers. He was wounded at Sailor's Creek, one of the last battles fought. I wrote to Wasington DC Archives for a copy of his pension records and found out he came from Bournea, Tipperary. Or, at least he was married there to Catherine Fogarty. Edward died 1881 in Wisconsin and Catherine died in 1900 in Wisconsin.
I am hoping to learn where my fathers (four sets) of Grandparents came from. My plan is to trade homes for a couple months, and come to Ireland to walk in my ancestors villages, etc.
If you can share any sibblings, parents, birthdates, etc., It would be wonderful!.
thank you so much, Anne Kiley Gray (lost family)
