Thank you for your assistance and reply.  Based on the census records Elizabeth Mahon, daughter of Henry Mahon, and James Lennon were married about 1868 and the first known child was born 1871.  Also, they were protestant according to the census.  I appreciated you taking the time to help with this family.

Thanks for the reply.  Yes, Henry Mahon who married Mary Scott is the family I am working on.  Thank you for the image of the marriage record.  Their first child, Ann, born in September 1831 was the start of my Irish research journey.  Ann married Hugh Menagh in Lurgan in 1851.  Their son, Henry, who married Matilda Mullin emigrated to Ontario, Canada in 1882.  I have been able to trace his descenents forward in time and have made contact with one.  I have been hoping to trace family who stayed in Ireland forward in time.

Yes, the father of James Lennon, who married Elizabeth Mahon, was named Arthur.  Margaret Mahon, who married William Holland in 1862 in Donaghcloney, is also part of the same family.  The Holland family ended up in Aughnavallog, Drumballroney Parish and disappeared.  I have left a message on that board regarding the Hollandfamily line.  I am wondering if James Mahon who married Ann Jane Davis is part of the family I am working on.  He is a new lead. 

If William Mahan who married Ellen Poland is connected it must be a brother or cousin of Henry, Sr.  There is an Ambrose Mahon of Lurgan who I believe is a brother of Henry, Sr. as he was a witness at Ann and Hugh Menagh's marriage.

I have James' bapt record, so if he gives a year at marriage, that would help.  Also have bapt for Mary Ann Mahon and Henry's burial record- died at 76 in 1873, I think it was.  I am missing early and late records of Donaghcloney COI - have bapt 1829- 1859ish but farther on burials and marriages.

Do you need Arthur's children?  Also will have to check if my Hollands intersect with yours.  Mine were in Bleary area, though.

I'm not paying attention.  Here is James.

Thank you for your assistance.  Sorry for the long time to reply.  I was laid low with the flu and am finally back on my feet.  What is your connection to this family line?  I do not need Arthur Lennon's children.  I am interested in the Mahon family and descendants.  The Holland family I am interested is: Margaret Mahon who married William Holland in 1862.  Margaret's father was Henry Mahon and William's father was John Holland.  Margaret and William had the following children:  William Richard 1866, Margaret Jane 1869, James 1871, Mary 1873, Sarah 1875-1875, and Sarah #2 1876.  All the children were born in Aughnavallog, Banbridge, Down.

Glad you are feeling well now.  I've used flu shots for several years, though it isn't always for the strain of flu going around.  I don't know why I have Mahon information.  I know I was interested in the John Holland and he seems to have died by 1862-64 as only Johns about are weavers in Bleary except Sarah Maxwell's husband John,  They were married in 1857, so no go..  Possibly John was from a slightly different area.  I notice widowed Bleary Dorothea Holland is about the right age to be the mother and she is a farmer, but she didn't get married or bapt. kids in any church I have records for.  Can't find her husband's name.  A  Bleary-NZ Holland sent me loads of Holland data and I have to find if I still have it on an external drive.  My notes say he heard George was the father of Wm Holland, but the marriage record definitely says John. George would have made Wm fit into my tree,  I also found many Bleary folks went to Amsterdam, NY and I had a Doak/Sullican/Cummings marry a Mahon there.  He appears to be a Catholic Mahon, possibly from Michael, John, and Patrick who were in the area by the 1880's. So no go there.  I'll look for the external drive as Lindsay had tons of data.

I gather you have James and Ann Jane Davis having kids Ambrose and William Henry.  I live in Oregon.

It appears our Holland lines are not connected.  I would like to thank you for the information on the Mahon family.  I had not previously connected James Mahon and Ann Jane Davis to my Mahon family but they appear to connect.  Again, thank you for the information and copies of records.
