Greetings! I am doing reserach on my great, grandmother's family, Leahy, from Killenaule. Margaret Leahy was born in Killenaule, to parents Michael Leahy and Mary Morrissy in November 1866. She left for the U.S. in 1882. I have records for her siblings: Judith Leahy (b. 1856), Stephen Leahy (b. 1857), James Leahy (b. 1858), Michael Leahy (b. 1861), Mary Leahy (b. 1863), Michael Leahy (b. 1869), Stephen Leahy ( b. 1871), and Mary Leahy (b. 1876). I am looking for any other information that might be available on the family and am wondering if any of the Leahy descendents are still living in the Killenaule area. Thanks for your help.

Terri:
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
The 1866 civil birth record for Maragret showed the family lived on Bailey St. in Killenaule. I checked the 1901 census for Bailey St. and there was a Stephen Leahy family listed. I believe this is the 1871 Stephen Leahy.

The mother Mary Leahy may have died in 1892 https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_retu…
and the father Michael Leahy may have died in 1899 in the Cashel workhouse
