My great great great grandfather Cornelius Kelly was born about 1810 possibly near Dualla, Tipperary, Ireland
He was married by Rev William Kirwan to Mary Mulloughney on the 6th of February 1834
in the Parish of Boherlahan Dualla
Witnesses to the marriage were Daniel D. Corcoran and Daniel Mahony
Variations I have found in spelling are
Moloughny/Mulloughney/Mulloughny
Cornelius and Mary Kelly had 6 children
From Parish Register Baptisms
My great great grandmother, Margaret Alice Kelly (Known as Alice)
Baptised 10 Dec 1834, Dualla, Sponsors were Laurence Mockler and Judith Dwyer (vicc Judith Mulloughney) which I am told means "standing in for"
So it seems that Judith Dwyer was standing in for Judith Mulloughney.
Alice's father's death may have been the reason for her migrating to Australia sometime in the early 1850s. I haven't found her immigration record.
She married John Morgan in Melbourne, Victoria in 1858.
I have not yet found any information on her mother, Mary nee Moloughney, so I don't know where the younger boys lived between their father's death and their migration to Australia in 1858.
Michael Kelly
Baptised 18 Sep 1836, Dualla, Sponsors were Patrick Molloughney, Mary Mahony
He arrived at his sister's residence in Australia from South Africa in about 1897 only six months before he died of TB in 1898.
Edmond Kelly
Baptised 16 Sep 1838, Dualla, Sponsors were Thomas Ryan, Julia Kelly.
No further information found as yet on Edmond Kelly.
John Kelly
Baptised 20 Jun 1840, Newpark, Sponsors were William Mahony, Mary Ryan
migrated to Australia 1858 with his younger brothers Thomas and William.
Married Mary Ann Francis 1869
He died 1905
Thomas Kelly
Baptised 1 Jan 1843, Dualla, Sponsors were Thomas Quinlan, Catherine Mulloughny
migrated to Australia in 1858 then to New Zealand in 1861.
Married Juliana Bassett 1867
He died in 1912.
William Kelly
6 Jan 1846, Dualla, Sponsors were Michael Kelly, Mary Ryan
migrated to Australia 1858 possibly died Queensland 1899 unmarried.
His parents were named on his death certificate as Con Kelly and Mary O'Loughlin

Kerryn,
Just to add a small piece of information to your research on your Kelly/Moloughney ancestors, Cornelius Kelly was mentioned in Griffith's Vauation of property c. 1850 as renting 6 and a half acres of land from the Pennefather family living in nearby Ballyowen House. Fussough was the name of the townland and a Moloughney family lived there till recently. The name has changed due to marriage.

Thanks Paddy I had found him in the Griffith's Valuation and also in 1851
"Notice of the sale of RENTAL of PORTIONS OF THE UNSETTLED ESTATES of MATHEW PENNEFATHER, ESQ., situate in the County of Tipperary To Be SOLD BY AUCTION"In this document he is mentioned as the 'Late Cornelius Kelly'
His land being classed as 'Yearly Tenancy, terminable 1st November in each year'.I hadn't really known where to start looking for my Moloughney family, so thanks for that information.
I was recently pointed to a document called Moloughney's of Ireland, assembled and issued by Bill Moloughney in 2001.
Would anyone know of Bill?
He states in the document 'The Moloughneys remaining in Ireland are all related - but it is impossible to pinpoint
the degree of relationship. The existence of the Penal Laws precluded the availability of any documentation that would help, and oral history does not go back far enough to determine the point at which each Moloughney line had an ancestor in common.'So far I have only come across one other person (lives in US) researching Moloughney's from the same area as me.

Kerryn, I am researching the Moloughney's of Tipperary. Michael Moloughney born 1809 (I don't know which Parish) married Ellen Murphy in 1834 in Urra Hill, Tipperary. They and their children sailed to Ontario, Canada. I am trying to find more information on Michael. Bill Moloughney died in 2012, and he is my Mother's first cousin. I have his books, so if you need any information, please let me know. Kelly is another family name that is common in the area the Moloughney's lived, in Fallowfield, Ontario

Kerryn, Roger, Paddy & Judy....Just to add to all of your posts, there is a wonderful free site regarding the history of Ottawa and surrounding areas, including Fallowfield, which I am familiar with having grown up in Ottawa and had relatives from there.: http://www.bytown.net/ [also called Bytown or Bust]. If you put in the 'Search' on the home page 'Michael Moloughney and Ellen Murphy, you will find several researching and adding information of this family, including a picture of Ellen Murphy-Moloughney [the name under the picture was Elizabeth, but has been corrected to Ellen Murphy].
Also, try Find A Grave, St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Fallowfield, Ontario [5 memorials]
Hope this is helpful and all the best, Marilyn

Kerryn,
My apologies as well for taking so long to notice your post from several years back. You mentioned the baptism of Alice Kelly in 1834 at Dualla, Parish of Boherlarhan and Judith Dwyer as a 'stand-in' sponsor. I believe this Judith Dwyer is nee Judith Murphy who married Thomas Dwyer on 1 May 1828 at Dualla, Parish of Boherlahan. I'm a USA descendent of this couple.
Interestingly, their first born son, Patrick Dwyer immigrated to NSW on the Ship Northern Light in 1858. He married a Janet Jonna Jessie Kelly on 15 Jan 1865 in Carcoar, NSW. They settled in Cowra and he died there in 1917 and she in 1940.
