Hello, I am looking for Temple information and family descendants, family from Drumquin. My great great great grandmother was Mary Temple, born 1802, who married James Lunny from Oritor. They immigrated to Quebec (New Ireland) after he was awarded land there by the British Army after a military career in India. They had a few children, and James died there in 1839. Mary moved to New York, and eventually to San Jose, California. She was buried in 1887 at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, and rests alongside her daughter, Mary Ann, her son-in-law Denis Leahy, and a number of grandchildren.

I spoke to my friend Leo from drumquin, he knows of Semple in drumquin but not Temple

Further to earlier responses to your query, I grew up in the Drumquin area. Never heard the name Temple but there were indeed Semples in the Drumquin/Omagh and Castlederg areas. If you want to contact me I may be able to answer some of your questions.

I suppose it is possible that the handwriting was misread, sure I'd appreciate anything you know about the Semples.
