Hello, I am searching for any Heanie (Heanue) and McDonough relations and ancestors from Fountain Hill Townland and Omey Island in Clifden, county Galway.

My GG Grandparents were Michael and Ann McDonough Heanie.  Married approximately 1858 in Clifden Parish.  They had 3 children Mary, John and Patrick, details of their birth and baptism sponsors listed below.  They left Ireland between 1865-1870 and settled in the states of Ohio and Pennsylvania in the U.S.

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

I checked the 1901 and 1911 censuses for Fountain Hill townland but there were no Heanue/Heanie or McDonough families in the townland. The online Irish phonebook http://www.eirphonebook.ie/#   has some Heanue out in Connemara some in Renvyle, Letterfrack and also Clifden.

The 1855 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing shows some Heany/Heaney records but none in Fountain Hill.

I searched on Roots Ireland for the marriage record but it did not come up. I looked at the parish register and there is a gap with marriage records from May 1855 to August 1858 so likely they were married in the gap period.

You may want to consider autosomal DNA testing.

Let me know if have any questions.
