Parish records of his second marriage ((listed as widower)
to my grandmother:
1902 Isabella GLENNY (actually GLENNIE) Derwent St, Belfast.
Ballymacarrett St Patricks Church of Ireland, Belfast, Co. Down

Father on both marriage records: Henry NICHOLSON, labourer 
Mother not listed on either record. 

1901 census not found on census
1911 census residing at 26 Derwent St.Belfast,Co.Down, labourer

Passenger list arrival to Canada on SS Lake Manitoba June 30,1913 (possibly to “join brother & cousins” but wording almost illegible)
Wife Isabella (Bella) and 5 young children followed in 1914

Military attestation papers with the Canadian Expeditionary Forces 1916 enlisted in Toronto,Canada, also shows being in the Royal Irish Rifles (regiment info not listed) for over 13 years in Ireland.

War Journal Private NICHOLSON, 4th Canadian Mounted Rifles,
France, mentions brother John. No address.

Death Certificate 1950 Toronto, Canada 

Above records consistently indicate William having listed his birth
Belfast, Co.Down January 14, 1872 

Contacted GRO. Their search was unsuccessful. 
Without mother's name or address at the time of birth we cannot
obtain official birth certificate.
