I am trying to pin point exactly where my g g g grandfather - Michael Lally was born in mayo! He was born 1793. He was a labourer. Michael's son John Lally was a Taylor and went to Warrington England. He was born 1826. And John had a son called Michael Lally my gg grandfather he was a glass blower back in Manchester he was born 1862.

The RC parish records for Ballinrobe do not start until 1843 so it will be difficult to pinpoint the townland. I also checked the 1827 Tithe listings for Ballinrobe and did not find a record for any Lallys.
The 1856 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Ballinrobe showed four Lally records: two in the town and two in outlying townlands. http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths/mayo/ballinrobe.htm
