McHales of Rosmoney and Rosmindle - also Purcells with Scranton, Pennsylvania Connections

Hello,

I am researching the various lines of McHale families from Rosmindle, Rosmoney and vicinity.  I am descended from McHales from Kilmeena and these seem to be the most likely families. I am trying to reconstruct as much of these family lines as possible using 1901/11 Census data, Griffiths Valuation and anything I can pull out of rootsireland.ie.  I am making reasonable progress.

Along the way I have researched connections from the Rosmindle McHales to Chicago, where I coincidentally live, and other locations.  I am presently looking at what may be some connections to Scranton, Pennsylvania.  These seem to cross-reference with Purcell family lines.  I know there were more than one McHale/Purcell marriages and it appears to have been Purcells from the island of Collan More.  There are a few instances that I am finding of McHales living in Scranton with Purcells that are described as "Uncle," but could also be cousins of a different generation.

If any of this rings a bell for anyone I'd be interested in comparing notes.
