My GG grandparents... both obituaries say native of County Down, Ireland which is all I know except thru the census in Canada it says Thomas was born around 1812 and Mary around 1816 and John around 1838 in Ireland . Then they had 6 other children.. Thomas died Sept 14 1867. Can anyone steer me anywhere? They were both RC

You could try rootsireland (subscription site) to see if there is any trace of the marriage or baptism. However I did notice that the surname Cunningham is very common in the RC parish of Kilkeel. See:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/%7Erosdavies/SURNAMES/C/CunninghamKW.htm
However their marriage and baptism records start in 1839 after the events you are interested in. So it’s possible that your family were baptised and married before records began.

That's what I was afraid of... no records. I am in Ancestry.com right now and am able to find most ancesters until I get to Ireland... except one common name in one area. Most of my ancesters are Irish. Did my DNA and 89% Irish. I live in a very Irish area, New Brunswick, Canada
Thanks, Timi
