  • My Scanlon's left Moneen, Killinagh before 1869.  Edward Scanlon states on Glasgow marriage 1869  parents were Edward Scanlon & Catherine Cassidy.  The only Scanlon information I've found is that in the1901 Census, Moneen that Scanlon's were living there.  I have found no marriage record for Scanlon/Cassidy in Ireland.

I will be in Killinagh is year.  I will visit the Moneen area which I understand is just farms in a rural area.  I thought I could get additional information posting to this board.  That is my objective, perhaps a shot in the dark but worth a try.

    Thanks, Gwen

  • Gwen:

RC records for Killinagh start in 1869 and civil registration of RC marriages started in 1864 so no marriage record will exist.
