You don't mention the religious denomination for your family but if they were RC, you may be in luck. The RC parish for Killila civil parish is Blackwater. Here is a link to the parish register http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0580   and the index information states that the register has death records from 1843 to early 1881. I would search the register around 1860. 

If your ancestors were not RC then you may not find the record. Civil registration for deaths did not start until 1864.

Hi Roger,  Thank you for the parish link.  I am unable yet to find Andrew in 1860 or nearby.  James Byrnes, the grandson, was Roman Catholic as are further descendants.  I am attaching the Ancestry.co.uk hint for Andrew Berne death in 1860. For now, Howard
