Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I don't think the surname was Kaley in Ireland. Likely Kelly or some other variation e.g. Cahalan.
The 1850 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Nenagh parish shows Kellys and Hills listed.
Was Philip the father of Michael or vice versa? Did Philip marry Ann in Ireland? Do you have an approximate year?

Hello, thank you so much for the quick reply. Philip is the father of Michael and yes Philip and Ann married in Ireland but no idea as to when, the information I have about Michaels parents is on a marriage registration form for Michaels marriage (he married in Canada). I dont think Philip and Ann came to Canada not sure. Michael has birth years listed for years from1831 to 41 on various census and the marriage registration which ststes . I'm not sure if he came to Canada first or the U.S., a family member did a trace of the family and it says he arrived in Canada on May 2nd 1857 and came from Nenagh Tipperary but I'm not sure of their sources so could be wrong information. I did find a Michael Kealy in the same area of Ontario at the time he was supposed to have arrived but no info for Michael Kaley until 1870's. Thank you Terry

Just seeing your response. I searched on Roots Ireland for the marriage and baptismal records with no success. The Nenagh RC records go back to 1792 but there are some gaps. http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0804
Possibly the marriage was in a different church where records no longer exist for that time period.
