Hello,

I am trying to find out any additional information about my g.g.g. grandfather Matthew Gleeson married to a Ellen Heffernan. He was the father of Thomas Gleeson baptised in Boherlahan in 1810. Matthew appears in the Tithe Applotments 1827 for the Ballytarsnahacket but after that no further record of him can I trace. Thomas emigrated to Australia in 1854 and by that time it appears Matthew had died. Are there any cemetery records worth looking at to try to find what happened to Matthew?

I also note in the religious census of 1766 for Ballysheehan there are a number of " Glissons" - Michael, James and John who may be related to Matthew, also a Richard and James Heffernan who may be related to Ellen, Matthew's wife. Any help much appreciated - I am visiting Tipperary in two weeks time.

Kind regards,

Chris
