My great-great grandmother, Anna Mary Durkin, was born Nov. 26, 1885 in Attymass to parents John Durkin and Bridget Gallagher.
I would love to locate her birth/baptismal record if possible. It appears that most of her younger siblings were born in Ballina and grew up, for a time, in that area.
Thank you,
Kristine Paul

PS. Anna Mary Durkin's mother, Bridget Gallagher, was also born in Attymass. In June 1868.
Thank you

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I located an 1883 baptismal record for an Anne Durkan in the Attymass RC parish with parents John Durkan and Bridget Gallagher. See transcript below.

So Roger, if I'm understanding the information correctly, I would assume Anna was born in Boyhallagh Parish in Kilmoremoy, but then baptised in Byhalla Parish, Attymass?
Thank you.

Kristine:
No. This Anna was from Boyhollagh townland in Attymass civil parish. The baptismal record spelled Boyhollagh as Byhalla.
Boyhollagh would be 12 kilometers (7 miles) from Ballina.
