  • Hi rgaddabout,

The irish family history foundation have almost all of the church records online .  This is a pay per view site but as you have both names of the marriage parties you can cross reference them and only pay to view the record that matches the marriage of both james and Mary.  Do you know what was mary's maiden name? If so, it should only cost you about €5 to view.

If they married in Clonmel then it was ususlly St. Peters and Pauls or St. Mary's church.

Your could always try the familysearch.org site.  This is totally free and may contain what you are looking for.

The secret to looking up these sites is not to put in too much information at the start and then gradually narrow you search parameters.  Be broad in your dates and such.

Hope this may be of some help to you,

    Regards,

    Anne Dennehy
