I am researching  John St John from Fethard in the late 1700's. He is mentioned in the will of Nicholas St John in 1775 who wanted to be burried at Holy Cross. Fethard.

John has brothers Nicholas and Thomas and sisters Mary and Catherine. Mary married Thomas Philips from fethard spawning the St John Phillips line.

I believe John and his wife  Catherine were burried in 1829 in Ballyhomuck Coleen.

Any information on Church of Ireland St Johns in fethard  fron this Era would be greatly appreceated.

  • Hi

I just noticed your posting from May 2013 and wonder if you had any luck on further info on your John St. John. I'm descended from Mary St. John who married Thomas Phillips and am keen to find any info on her parents, siblings etc. How did you establish identity of John's siblings, including my Mary?

    many thanks
