Hello Down,
I am looking for information on Mary Ann Burns who died in Downpatrick on 21 May 1903.
Maiden name Kearney and ( from my research) first married to John Magill in 1859 then married to James Burns in 1866.
One child Patrick Burns born 1866 ( from research)
Mary Ann was the daughter of Hugh Kearney and Mary Walker and her sister Jane came to Australia and is my GG Grandmother and Mary Ann has a plaque on her grave.
Hugh Kearney was a tailor in Saul.
Many thanks
Annette

Dear Annette
I had a look on rootsireland.ie but didn?t see a baptism for Mary Ann. There are two different baptism records for children born to a father Hugh Kearney and mother surname Walker; one in Co. Derry in 1824 and the other in Roscommon in 1816. As this is a subscription site I am limited in what I can see. Mary Anne?s marriage record details are also available on this site for 1866 in Co. Down. You could search for a Kearney/McGill variant in the mother?s name for a Burns child. Once you find out the parish/townland from the marriage details you can check Griffith?s Valuation and the 1901/1911 Census for instances of the family name:
Griffith?s Valuation: http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/

Best wishes
