James MOORE ( born Portadown 1828, parents James MOORE & Mary COULTER) married Jane GIVINS (b 1830 Arboe, parents John GIVINS & Matty) in Drumquin Presbyterian Meeting House in May 1852. They were living at Drumrawn at the time. Barbara

  • I am editing my original post above!!!! It seems James MOORE was probably born in Drumrawn, Longfield East in 1828 (even though his obituary in Sydney Australia newspaper says he was born in Portadown). His parents were James MOORE (on Tithe Applotment records in Drumrawn) & Mary COULTER.

    There is a William COULTER & partners in Curraghmulkin townland in Tithe Applotment records (1826) in Longfield West.

    In Griffiths Valuation records there is James COULTER in Curraghmulkin;   & William COULTER in Coolavannagh nearby. There are also John, Mary, Robert, James & Hugh COULTER in Drummenagh adjoining Curraghmulkin.

     

    Is anyone researching these COULTERs?

    Is it too much of a stretch to think all these COULTERs were related!?
