Looking for George Cunningham who was born in Lisvernane Tipperary. I cant seem to find it on the Parrish Registers.
Also trying to find a place called Bally Sorrell?

There are two townlands called Ballysorrell in Co. Tippperary. One is 369 acres and the other 523. Both are in the civil parish of Killavinogue.
The village of Lisvernane is in the townland of Lisvarrinane (parish of Clonbeg). It’s just on the border with Co. Limerick, about 10 miles sw of Tipperaray town.
You probably won’t find most of these townlands on a conventional on-line map as they are too small to be listed. However specialist maps, including those on Griffiths Valuation, will show them:

I can see George Cunningham listed in Lisvarrinane (Tip South riding) in 1851. He was on plot 16(b)m which was a forge and garden. The family had gone by the time of the 1901 census:

The name George Cunningham is associated with one family of Cunningham;s who mostly emigrated to New York & Connecticut I believe. .
