Dale, William B Aug 31, 1847 D Oct 27, 1879. Married Elizabeth Lamb Aug 4, 1868 in Drumlane. I believe his father was Adam but I cannot locate any info on his birth or parentage. This is where I am stuck !
My grandfather, Hugh Robert (went by Robert) Dale was one of five children which I believe are:
Emily B Dec 17, 1869 D Dec. 1869
Adam B 1871 ? D Jan-Mar 1978
William S. B Jan 8, 1873 D ?
Hugh Robert B Aug. 28, 1875 D Sept 1960
Emma L. (Louise) b Nov 25, 1877 D ??
This is all the info I have at present.

I assume your family was Church of Ireland? Records for the Drumlane C of I church start in 1874.
I did locate the civil marriage index record for the couple. The civil marriage record will show the names of the fathers of the bride and groom and where the bride and groom were living in 1868. A copy from the GRO costs around 4 euros. if you want to get a copy let me know and I will forward instructions.

Hi Castlemore:
I would very much like a copy of the marriage certificate for William Dale and Eliza Lamb. I can't research William further without details of his parents. He would be my great grandfather !
Please let me know details to get copy.
Kindest regards
Louise (Dale)

Louise:
Go to this link https://www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/Apply-for-Certificates.aspx
Print out the marriage form and fill it out to the best of your ability. Include the info from the index record: year of marriage, registration district and volume and page number. Make sure you ask for a copy. You have to use snail mail to send the request to GRO in Co. Roscommon ( address will be provided when you print out the form.) You can ask the GRO to e-mail the copy back. I provide a credit card number and never had any issues.
