Looking for any information about the town of Reclain in Donaghmore parish in County Tyrone.  Specifically interested in family names Brannigan and Morris.

    Here is a link to the 1859 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Donaghmore. Three Brannigans listed in Reclain. The four Morris entries are all in Altaglushan townland.

    The 1901 census has two Branigan households in Reclain and at least three Morris families in Altaglushan townland. www.census.nationalarchives.ie

    Does anyone know if Reclain and Altaglushan are stille there?  My bother and I are planning a trip to Ireland in June/July and would like to visit these towns.

  • They are townlands not towns. A townland is an Irish term describing a unit of land. Both still exist. You can locate them using the maps on Griffiths Valuation.

  • My mothers family were the Morris family from Altaglushan, it would ne great if there are any links to your Morris's
