I am looking to get help on finding Charles Milliken's information. It shows he was born in 1725 in Connaught and came to the United States around 1740-1750. His known wife here in the US was Ann Harbison and they both had 6 children. Passed in 1785 in North Carolina, US. If anyone can help me locate a birth certificate or baptism certificate so that I am able to identify his parents would greatly be appreciated.

Civil registration of birth and marriages did not fully start in Ireland until 1864. Prior to that church records were the only source of baptisms. However there are very few church records existing going back to 1725 and none that I'm aware of in Co. Mayo or other counties in Connaught province.
