Am seeking info on the Tobin family that originated in Tallow, some of whom remain there. Thomas tobin and Ann Joyce were married in 1839. Most of the family moved over toward Ballynoe, Cork. I believe that Birch Hill is where any remaining Tobins live.

Have you already tried searching rootsireland (a subscription site) or familysaerch (free site) for further information on the Tobin Family? If you could ascertain a townland then you could also narrow your search on the 1901 Census:

There are some Tobin entries too on the Griffith's Valuation. If you believe the family were resident and some still are in Tallow these people would be connected:

Hello Clare! sorry this is so late, just seeing this post. I have all the info from those sites and much more. Currently Tobins live in Rathdrum, Ballynoe. Looking to make contact with any Tobins still around that area, which I know are many.
