I'm searching for information on Mary Teresia BURKE born c1867, daughter of Edward BURKE and Bridget DUNN.
Mary arrived in Townsville Queensland Australia in c1886 aged about 19 years. Mary married John (Jack) SETTER in Richmond Qld Australia in May 1889 - issue: Mary Elizabeth, George, Alice Maud, Ruby May, Beatrice, Edward John, Kathleen Louisa. Mary and Jack SETTER settled in Longreach Queensland Australia.
On her children's birth certificates it has her birthplace listed as Johnstown Kildare Ireland.
Any information on the BURKE or DUNN families would be greatly appreciated.

There are actually three Johnstown townlands in Co. Kildare including one in Johnstown civil parish. The other two are in Cadamstown and Carnalway civil parishes.
I looked on Roots Ireland indexes and could not find a baptismal records around 1867 for a Mary/Maria Burke/Bourke with parents Edward and Bridget. I also could not locate the marriage record.
I looked on the civil indexes (registration started in 1864). There are an 1866 and 1867 records in the Naas registration district for a Maria Burke.
