  • You don?t give either James or Jane?s ages, or parents? names, so it?s difficult to search for them with any accuracy. (Some of that information should be on the 1899 US marriage certificate).

I searched the births around the Cookstown and Dungannon registration areas 1870 -1880. I only found one James Lewis birth. That was registered in Cookstown on 3.2.1877. Mother?s maiden name was Ireland

For Jane Weir I found two possibles: 11.12.1870 in Cookstown, mother?s maiden name Weir. And 18.1.1879 in Magherafelt, mothers mn was Bradley.

You can view those certificates on-line for ?2 each on the GRONI website (use the search marriage registrations option) but as I say without some corroboration of ages and parents names from US sources you won?t really be able to judge whether you have the right families.
